Recntly, the President of Panama visited Technopolis "Moscow" and met with the head of the Moscow Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship.
The city authorities are planning to start cooperation with Panama on sharing experience in managing technology parks and innovation centers. This was reported by the TASS in the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow on Monday.
Last Saturday, the president of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, visited Technopolis "Moscow", where he met with Alexey Fursin, the head of the Moscow Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship.
"We are opened to international cooperation. In addition, we are ready to share our experience with foreign technology parks and innovation centers, as well as best practices of Panama. We think that the meeting will be an important step in the development of relations between Moscow and Panama on cooperation in the fields of industrial policy", - said the representative of Department.
The president of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela noted that the visit to Technopolis "Moscow" was part of the business program of his first official visit to Russia. The particular interest of the Panama authorities was the renovation of industrial zones, the attraction of foreign investment and the possibility of localizing foreign residents in the capital's technoparks.
"A great impression makes the fact that in five years a modern site was created on the basis of the old manufacture. Panama is also working to create an innovation center for 5 thousand students. It would be very useful for us to learn about the Russian experience", - Juan Carlos Varela shared his opinion.
Today, there are 33 metropolitan technoparks in Moscow, where about 1.7 thousand are high-tech companies. There are plans to build 7 more industrial parks in the city.
